South Korea is a country in East Asia that includes the southern portion of the Korean Peninsula.

Government

South Korea is a republic. As in other democratic countries, South Korea's government divided into three parts: the executive, judicial and legislative. The capital and largest city is Pyongyang. The Korean Demilitarized Zone being the boundary between North Korea and South Korea. Amnok River and the Tumen River form the border between North Korea and the People's Republic of China. Some of the Tumen River in the northeast is the border with Russia.

Government

North Korea is a country that unilaterally declare a state Juche (trust and rely on its own power).  The cult of personality of the Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il is now organized. After the death of Kim Il-sung in 1994, he was not replaced but instead received the title "Eternal President", and was buried in the Kumsusan Memorial Palace in central Pyongyang.
Although the position of president was held by Kim Il-sung died,de facto head of state is Kim Jong-un, who is Chairman of the National Defence Commission of North Korea. The legislature of North Korea is the Supreme People's Assembly, currently led by Kim Yong-nam. Other senior government figure is the Chief Executive Kim Yong-il.
North Korea is a country that adheres to the one-party system. The governing party is the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland, a coalition of the Labour Party of Korea and two other smaller parties, the Korean Social Democratic Party and the Party Chongu Chondoist. These parties nominate all candidates for the position and hold all seats in the Supreme People's Assembly.
